Jesus teaches us that to love God is to love others, whether they are next door or across the globe. At Trinity, you can do this in many ways! Learn more from the Missions and Service Committee chair, Becky Felton, rfelton@ec.rr.com.
Love in Action
More than 2,000 shawls, blankets and other comforting items have been knitted and crocheted by Trinity's Prayer Shawl Angels. But there's more ... the ladies have prayed over each item, asking for God's comfort, peace or healing for the people who will receive them. Here, Doreen Hogan is making a christening blanket.
Every fall, Trinity folks volunteer to prepare one or more "shoeboxes" filled with things like toys, hygiene items and school supplies. The boxes are then distributed by the Samaritan's Purse Ministry to needy children in the U.S. and all over the world.
Finished boxes of the subsistence meals packed by Trinity volunteers are loaded for the Rise Against Hunger ministry. Trinity volunteers have packed 109,578 meals over the past several years.
